St. Marys Police Department
The St. Marys Police Department issued 21 citations and responded to the following incidents from April 3 to April 12.
April 3
• At 3:54 p.m., the police were called to investigate a criminal damaging complaint at the 300 block of Huffman Street.
April 4
• At 10:21 a.m., an accident was reported on Jackson Street after a vehicle was side-swiped and received minor damage.
• At 10:33 a.m., the SMPD investigated reports of a private property accident at the intersection of Gethsemane Avenue and Webb Street.
• At 12:22 p.m., officers investigated a non-injury private property accident at the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue.
• At 4:32 p.m., the police received a walk-in complaint about a telecommunications harassment complaint.
April 5
• At 7:08 p.m., the police department responded to a harassment complaint at the 100 block of North August Street.
April 6
• At 10:41 a.m., the police were called to the 200 block of South West Street after receiving reports of a criminal mischief complaint.
• At 12:02 p.m., the SMPD investigated reports of a burglary at the 900 block of Hendricks Avenue.
• At 5:48 p.m., the St. Marys Police Department arrested Michael McEldowny at the 300 block of South Pine Street in relation to a warrant of indictment from the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office.
• At 7:07 p.m., Dakota Williams, Elijhanae Stroud and Amir Jackson were arrested at the 1100 block of Indiana Avenue on charges of theft, failure to comply and complicity. The arrest was made through a join effort of the St. Marys Police Department, Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Anna Police Department and the Botkins Police Department.
• At 7:47 p.m., the police were called to the 400 block of Fortman Drive to arrest a woman on charges of failure to comply.
April 7
• At 8:44 a.m., officers were called to investigate a private property crash at the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue.
• At 6:16 p.m., the SMPD investigated a property damage complaint at the 1100 block of Celina Road.
April 8
• At 9:21 a.m., the police were called to the 200 block of South Main Street in order to deal with a suicidal male.
• At 10:06 a.m., officers responded to reports of a breaking and entering complaint at the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue.
• At 1:35 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of St. Clair Avenue in order to investigate reports of a suicidal female.
April 9
• At 2:32 p.m., the SMPD took a criminal damaging report at the 100 block of West Spring Street.
April 10
• At 2:28 a.m., the SMPD assisted the SP with an OVI search warrant at the 200 block of St. Clair Avenue.
• At 2:29 p.m., the police arrested Darren Callihan at the 500 block of South Wayne Street on charges of obstructing official business.
• At 6:40 p.m., a theft complaint was reported to the police at the 200 block of South Vine Street.
• At 10:48 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of Fortman Drive to investigate a reports of a possible theft.
April 11
• At 4:07 p.m., the SMPD investigated reports of a menacing complaint at the 2100 block of Kensington Drive.
April 12
• At 12:25 p.m., reports of a trespassing complaint was given to officers at the 500 block of Cleveland Avenue.
• At 7:47 p.m., officers received reports of a burglary complaint at the 1200 block of Brandywine Center.
