Letter to the Editor

I recently had to spend several weeks on the second floor at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital and then at the Grand Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys due to complications with CHF. I want to thank all of the nurses, doctors and staff for taking such good care of me during my stay. I feel very blessed to have had such wonderful people helping me to get better. They were all very kind, caring and generous with their time. They were willing to spend extra time if there was something I needed and to listen to me talk (and I do talk a lot). With their help, along with therapy, they made it possible for me to get better and get back home and living on my own. I received lots of well wishes when I left, along with a lot of “I hope we don’t see you back again,” but in a good way. I know that should I need to go back to a nursing home, I am going to choose Grand Lake Healthcare Center. So, to all the nurses, doctors and staff … thank you, thank you, thank you. — Donald Hull, St. Marys

The Caring Friends of St. Marys have announced that the St. Marys Community Garage Sales will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 1516. In June, there are many family gatherings due to Mothers and Fathers Day and graduations. In order to avoid family vacations due to 4th of July holiday and factory shutdowns, they have chosen the weekend of July 15 and July 16. They trust this weekend will be convenient for the majority of St. Marys residents. They will again publish a listing of garage sales for $6 to be distributed free of charge. Details for listing your garage sale will become available in early June. — Sally Eaton
