The St. Marys Police Department issued citations and responded to the following incidents from April 26 to May 6.

April 26

• At 11:26 a.m., the St. Marys Police Department was called to the 400 block of Huffman Street in relation to a violation of a protection order.

April 27

• At 5:16 a.m., an non-injury accident occurred on Linden Street after a vehicle malfunctio­ned, resulting in a collision with a light pole.

• At 2:22 p.m., the police received a walk-in complaint involving a private property accident that occurred within the Kroger parking lot.

• At 3:27 p.m., the St. Marys Police Department received Chad Slife after receiving reports of his arrest in Wapakoneta by the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office. He was wanted on warrants of failure to appear and operating a vehicle while intoxicate­d.

• At 6:59 p.m., the police arrested Jason Vires on an order to arrest by the State of Ohio Department of Rehabilita­tion and Correction.

April 28

• At 10:14 a.m., the SMPD were called out to the 300 block of South Park Drive to investigat­e reports of a private property crash on the scene..

• At 11:23 a.m., officers investigat­e reports of a theft at the 700 block of East Spring Street.

• At 12:01 p.m., the SMPD were called to the 400 block of East South Street involving an incident where a man was found not breathing on the site.

• At 12:51 p.m., officers were called to investigat­e reports of a burglary at the 700 block of West North Street.

• At 11:23 p.m., the St. Marys Police Department were called to the 400 block of Clinton Street to assist paramedics from the St. Marys Fire Department with reports of an overdose.

April 29

• At 8:15 a.m., the police were called to the 600 block of Indiana Avenue in relation to a trespassin­g complaint.

April 30

• At 8:43 a.m., officers were called to deal with a probation violation on the 200 block of North Spruce Street.

• At 7:06 p.m., officers arrived at the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue in order to investigat­e reports of a private property accident in the area.

May 1

• At 7:27 a.m., a non-injury accident was reported to the SMPD after a vehicle was rear ended on Celina Road after another vehicle failed to slow down.

• At 4:52 p.m., the SMPD arrested Joseph Schaffer on Beech Street on an outstandin­g warrant set through Mercer County.

• At 4:52 p.m., the police were involved with a seizure of drugs at the 200 block of Beech Street.

May 2

• At 2:02 a.m., the SMPD arrested Samantha Alexander on East Spring Street on an outstandin­g warrant through the Sidney Police Department.

May 3

• At 10:40 a.m., the police were called to the 500 block of Scoot Street in order to investigat­e a case of breaking and entering.

• At 2:23 p.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of Indiana Avenue in relation to reports of a theft complaint in the area.

• At 4:37 p.m., the St. Marys Police Department cooperated with the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office with an incident involving an uncooperat­ive individual on the 2100 block of Celina Road.

May 4

• At 6:04 p.m., the police received reports of a dog at large near the 400 block of McClain Street.

May 5

• At 9:54 a.m., the police were called to investigat­e a theft complaint at the 1300 block of Celina Road.

May 6

• At 6:56 a.m., an accident was reported on State Route 29 after a vehicle failed to yield for a passing car.

• At 3:09 p.m., the police ordered a temporary protection order on Justin Riffel at the 100 block of Concord Avenue.
