This year will mark the 50th Anniversary year of Ginny’s Ginger Snaps Baton Corps in St. Marys. This is a group which provides a way for local girls to learn a skill, be part of a group, and participate in community events at a minimal cost. Baton twirling provides physical fitness, gracefulness, self-confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, travel opportunities and new friendships.
Over the years it has been the support of local businesses and community members that have supported the corps to enable every child the opportunity to participate regardless of their financial situation.
To celebrate this anniversary, the Ginger Snaps will be hosting a reunion party at the Wishing Well building at 153 E. Spring St. in St. Marys for all past members and their families immediately following the St. Marys Summerfest Parade. We would like to have a free raffle for the former members that attend the party.
