Mercer County man still missing despite investigation

- By SKYLER MITCHELL

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office has been searching for a missing man since Monday of this week, with no current information of his whereabouts available at the time this article is being written.

The search for Robert Hageman from Beavercreek has not been found despite investigations being done into finding him. Sergeant Rachel Heinl of the sheriff’s office reports that they are doing everything they can, with the office constantly looking into any lead made available to them.

Hageman’s last known location was said to be near the Overdrive in Celina, with his car said to have been parked on U.S. Route 127, south of Siegrist-Jutte Road. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office has been working with other officials in order to find him since he was reported missing at 8 p.m. on Monday, with multiple search parties having been conducted.

People within or around the area where Hageman’s car was found are encouraged to check their properties, especially any outbuildings they may have. It may be possible he’s moved farther than that, so people are encouraged to keep a look out just in case.

“Obviously the main thing is we’re just wanting people to call in if they happen to have seen him, or think they might’ve saw him,” said Heinl. “We’re following up on everything and we’re still actively searching the area.”

Hageman is described to be a 78 year old male with gray hair and blue eyes, and also suffers from dementia. Anyone with details on his disappearance is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 419-586-7724.
