Thoughts with Tim: Too many things to write about

Since I wrote the article from last week, I had three different times where I heard something that was what I planned to write this article about. First, I was going to write about the Tyree Nichols murder. He was the young man who was murdered by some thug police officers in Atlanta. I am all for police officers being empowered to do their job but what I saw on that video was way over the line. I wanted to comment on his funeral because to say they turned his funeral into a show. I was heart broken for the family. Kamala Harris was there and the parasite Al Sharpton was there as well. Both of them calling for police reform. Whatever reform they were calling for would not help because what those officers did to Nichols was already illegal. Those officers are in jail and unless there is some kind of incredible reason to explain what we all saw on that despicable tape, they are going away for a long time.

But they turned his funeral into a political stunt, and I was deeply ashamed. As a person who stands up at a lot of funerals, they cheapened what I do for families all around this area. What they did was embarrassing and disgraceful, and on top of that, it was disrespectful to that poor young man who lost his life. I don’t know anything about Tyree Nichols personally, but I would be willing to bet there was a pastor from that community who had a relationship with his family who wanted nothing more than to celebrate that young man’s life and grieve alongside of the family. And that pastor was displaced and replaced by “more important people” who came in to grind an axe so hard that not even the handle was left when they were done.

I give you my word, whether I know you or not, no matter if you are affiliated with Wayne Street or not, if Miller or Cisco call me to conduct a funeral service for your loved one, you will get better from me than that. Grieving families deserve better than that and what I witnessed in that situation was disgraceful.

Thank you, I had to get that off my chest because it made me angry.

But this was not the only questionable decision from last week. How about the Satanic performance at the Grammies last night? Broadcast on national television, two alleged singers, a man and a trans man or trans woman? I don’t know how this works, a man who thinks he is a woman. This duo had a whole performance where they dressed up as demons and had a dance number. Then they went up and accepted an award for the song. I need to say this again to make sure I am being clear. They put on a Satanic performance and then won an award for the song associated with the performance. Just let this phrase sink in a moment, it was an award-winning Satanic display.

Then there is the Chinese spy balloon that floated across Alaska, down through Canada, across a number military installations in the mid-west, and we didn’t shoot it down until it was over the Atlantic Ocean. The reason they didn’t want to shoot it down is because they were afraid of debris falling to earth. I wonder if we will be worried about debris when the next spy balloon drifts over the US. I sure hope that Xi Jinping, the president of the People’s Republic of China. saw the Satanic performance through the camera mounted on the balloon.

My friends of St Marys, you may feel powerless to do anything about this embarrassing stuff. But that is not true. It is a lie that you are helpless. You are only as helpless as you are disengaged. We may not be able to stop what is aired on TV and we may not be able to shoot down foreign spy balloons, and we may not be able to stop power hungry politicians from jumping in front of cameras and embarrassing themselves when there is a tragedy. But there are things we can do.

Oatmeal. Does that seem stupid? Yes, in light of everything I wrote about in this article, oatmeal does seem pretty stupid. However, do you know what oatmeal does? It feeds kids over the weekend. And while the world was doing all of the stupid stuff I told you about in this article, Wayne Street Church was collecting oatmeal to feed kids. We can’t stop those kids from being affected by all of these bad influences, but we can stop them from being hungry. So that is what we did. We had an oatmeal drive, and I packed the Beetle up to the hilt with oatmeal and drove it to Agape this week as an act of love and a show of defiance to all of the other forces and influences out there.

Is it much? No, it isn’t. Does it matter? It matters to the hungry kid that none of the rest of the people I mentioned in this article care about at all. That kid matters to me, and he or she matters to Wayne Street too.
