Easter tourneys highlights this week

Spring sports season is at the midway point of action, and teams just concluded their annual Easter baseball tournament­s before spring break.

Terry Sanford and South both hosted individual tournament­s, Bulldogs Baseball Easter Tournament for Terry Sanford and Randy Ledford Memorial Easter Baseball Tournament for South View.

The Bulldogs reign as champions after defeating Triton 10-2 in their home Bulldog Easter Tournament. South View went 1-2 on their weekend, dropping games to Overhills and West Bladen.

Terry Sanford’s “Second Site” Easter tournament was hosted by Freedom Christian Academy, which went 3-0 in the weekend and scoring a combined 47 runs among the three contests. E.E. Smith went 2-1 to break into the win column for the first time this season.

Among the three tournament sites, seven Fayettevil­le-area teams participat­ed in the baseball tournament­s. Here are the top performers from each day of the tournament­s:
