Resignation opens up seat on board SUDOKU

Applications are being accepted for filling vacancy

- By Brian Porter

A resignation by a member of the Fort Morgan Planning Commission has opened a voting seat on the board, a press release from the City of Fort Morgan reads.

Scott Bryan is the chair of the board, with Jeni Elrick serving as vice-chair. Other members of the board are Juan Ayala Jr., Dolores Del Campo, Rosie Evans, Jordan Riley and Dawn M. Robards. It was not clear which member had resigned.

The purpose of the board is review of development plans and land use issues. The person selected to serve would fulfill the remainder of a term through April 1, 2026. Terms for Bryan and Robards both expire on that timetable.

The board is comprised of the seven voting seats and is advised by non-voting advisors: City Manager Steve Glammeyer and Director of Utilities and Public Works Brent Nation.

A meeting of the board this week was canceled because of a lack of business. The board can meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, as business warrants.

The board hears business related to community growth and development, including property annexations, subdivisions, special use reviews, and building code and land use variances, the press release reads.

Members are appointed to six-year terms by the City Council, and must be Fort Morgan residents. Any qualified interested person may apply for the seat at cityoffortmorgan.com/DocumentCenter/Home/View/112.
