‘Let’s Go Build’ exhibit opens Aug. 12
Starting Aug. 12, come to the Fort Morgan Museum to visit our latest exhibit, “Let’s Go Build.” Enjoy building bricks of all shapes, sizes and colors. Make a car to use on our racetrack! Enjoy a selection of Wii LEGO video games, including LEGO Harry Potter and Batman. This exhibit has activities for the whole family. The exhibit opens Aug. 12th. Hope to see you there!

The Fall Into Winter Author Series Starts Aug. 23 at 5:30 p.m. with Jim Eberle visiting the library. Eberle’s book “Life on the Morapos” is based on his mother’s diary entries.
“My book explores our everyday life on the ranch (in rural Moffat County), as well as events such as getting electricity and all its conveniences in 1953, our experiences during the harsh winter of 1949, and the close relationships with our many neighbors,” Eberle said. Flex your creative muscles at The Fort Morgan Library with fruit and veggie carving at a program to be held in August, although the date had not yet been set. Carve your favorite plants, animals, or decorative designs into an edible masterpiece. Some veggies will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own. Come to the library on Friday, Aug. 19 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for the Teen Night Out’s “Let’s Go Build” brick building challenge. In honor of the new “Let’s Go Build” exhibit, Teen Night Out is hosting its own building challenge! We will provide building bricks, Legos, Duplos and a racetrack! You will create your own structure using the materials provided. Registration is required, and space is limited so act fast! Snacks and drinks are included with registration.
