City of Fort Morgan cemetery to start spring cleanup

Decorations should be removed from gravesites by March 19

The Fort Morgan Cemetery will be starting its annual Spring Cleanup on March 20.

Cemetery patrons are asked to remove all decorations not secured to the foundation of gravesites in the cemetery by Sunday, March 19.

Under City of Fort Morgan Cemetery policy, any decorations or other items remaining in the grass around the foundation of the gravesite after that date will be removed and disposed of by cemetery personnel. This includes any wreath blankets, shepherd hooks, and solar lights which are placed in the ground as well.

The cooperation of cemetery patrons is greatly appreciated and helps the staff do a better and more complete job of sprucing up the cemetery grounds for the spring season.

For more information or questions, call the cemetery office at (970) 867-3908.

Jorgensen has won numerous awards for both his creative and journalistic writing including regional awards for his novels, and regional and national prizes for his news and feature stories.

His newest novel Rainbow Rock, a mysterythriller set in the Black
