Championship roundup: Watford pull off brilliant comeback win over Norwich

-

Watford hit back from 2-0 down to beat Norwich 3-2 and leapfrog the Canaries in mid-table.

Danny Batth and Hwang Ui-jo gave the visitors a 2-0 lead after just 12 minutes but Ismaël Koné and Mileta Rajović levelled by half-time and Yáser Asprilla grabbed the winner with 13 minutes left.

Jaden Philogene inspired Hull’s rout of Rotherham as the Tigers climbed back into the Championship’s top six. The former Aston Villa youngster scored twice as Liam Rosenior’s side thumped the Millers 4-1. His England Under-21s teammate Tyler Morton opened the scoring and Scott Twine also got on the scoresheet – with Grant Hall grabbing a consolation – as Hull climbed to sixth.

West Brom continued their impressive form under Carlos Corberán with a 1-0 win at Cardiff thanks to the on-loan Brighton winger Jeremy Sarmiento’s second-half strike. The Baggies have now won five of their past six games and move up to third, seven points behind the automatic promotion spots.

Isaiah Jones’s double helped Middlesbrough ease past a fading Preston

4-0. The winger scored either side of a Rav van den Berg strike before Alex Bangura’s injury-time effort wrapped up the win to leave Michael Carrick’s side three points outside the top six.

Haji Wright hit the winner as Coventry beat Plymouth 1-0, with the beaten playoff finalists of last season nine points above the relegation zone.

QPR’s late show gave them a 4-2 comeback win against a 10-man Stoke to leave them three points adrift of safety. Ben Pearson’s own goal and Chris Willock’s injury-time strike gave Martí Cifuentes his first win in charge – and Rangers’ first victory since September. Lyndon Dykes’s penalty opened the scoring but Ryan Mmaee levelled just before half-time. Enda Stevens was sent off seven minutes after the break for a second yellow card – having already conceded the spot-kick. Wouter Burger snatched a second-half goal to put Stoke ahead but Dykes struck with 11 minutes left to level before QPR’s dramatic finish.
