God saw you getting tired and finally called you home. Sharon Rae Fleming passed away April 11, in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 74. She overcame many challenges of life including surviving breast cancer and enduring the loss of her dearest love Donald Fleming in 2006. Sharon was born in Hereford, Texas to Fred and Dixie West on November 30, 1947. She shared her childhood with one brother, Birchie West. She was a lady of many talents from a very young age painting a picture of a beautiful Angel protecting a newborn baby which still hangs above the bed. She continued painting and pottery while in college for the Arts and did cake decorating, sewing, crocheting and quilting for family and friends throughout her years. She also enjoyed cooking for special occasions and baking all kinds of desserts, which she loved sharing with others as she did with her church family at Crossroads Bible Fellowship. Blessed with four children of her own, Freddie Martin, Lisa O’shields, Vince Martin and Dixie Martin, she then met the love of her life, Donald Fleming, and brought in four more children and their families into her heart: Valerie Mills, Jim Fleming, Cindy Mcgee and Greg Fleming. She was given 10 grandchildren, Robert O’shields, Estevan Martin, Kayla O’shields, Alex Martin, Dustin O’shields, Dedra O’shields, Allen Smith, Austin Martin, Ashlee Martin and Saphira Smith. In her last 10 years she greatly enjoyed three great-grandchildren, Braelynn Rae O’shields, Demietre Anna O’shields and Bellamy Dean O’shields, and was looking forward to one more later this year, Killian James O’shields. A memorial service will be held at Harris-hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, on May 5, at 10 in the morning. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty.
