Elizabeth “Betty” Ann (Kruger) Hauge, 78, passed away April 18 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born October 23, 1943, in Augusta, Georgia, to Lester Otto and Dorothy Mildred (Eve) Kruger. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jerald Hauge, her parents, and her brother, Gerald Kruger. She is lovingly remembered by her children and grandchild­ren, Eric (and Christina Romero) Hauge; Joseph Hauge; Jennie (and Garrett, Sarah and Karen) Robinson; Samuel (and Misty and Devon) Hauge; Robert (and Cheryl, Thade, Tristen and Dylan) Hauge; Joanne (and Nathan, Trenton and Kara) Bishop; and Rebecca Hauge; sister, Patricia Kruger, brothersan­d sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Jerald and Betty were married June 25, 1966, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She and Jerald were blessed with seven children and eight grandchild­ren. Over the years, she attended or helped with as many of her kids’ and grandkids’ ball games, concerts, school plays, Girl Scout and Boy Scout activities, and church events as she could. Betty’s children were her pride; her grandchild­ren were her joy. Betty was also an active member with Messiah Lutheran Church in Albuquerqu­e for over 40 years. She quilted with the Sew and Share group, and at various times, served as an Usher, served on the Church Council, volunteere­d in Vacation Bible School, and worked many fundraiser­s with the youth group over the years. To celebrate our (grand)mother’s life, a Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., April 30, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 11515 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerqu­e, NM, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place at a later date in Minnesota. Arrangemen­ts are welcome, and will be accepted at the church April 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A donation made to your favorite charity in her memory is also encouraged by the family.
