WEARE – John Charles Radefeld, 64, of Weare, NH, passed away on October 5, 2023; while doing something he loved, riding his motorcycle. John was born in Greenfield, IN on March 22, 1959, and was a son of the late Robert and Annabelle (Reidy) Radefeld.

John was raised in Indianapol­is, Indiana where he attended Our Lady of Lourds Elementary School; and was a graduate of the Scecina Memorial High School Class of 1977. After high school, John enlisted in the United States Army, serving for four years, where he was stationed in Germany and worked as an electronic warfare intercept systems repairer. He later attended Indiana University and went on to have a long career as a nuclear medicine radiology engineer, working and teaching in hospitals; and many years at GE Medical & Phillips.

Father, Peepaw, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Best Friend. John is survived by his Daughter, Jennifer Radefeld and her husband James DeMellia; his Granddaugh­ter, Charlotte DeMellia; his Brother, James Radefeld and wife Brenda; his sisters; Laura Radefeld and her husband James Battochi, Carol Travasino and husband Peter, his Sister Kathy Palumbo, Sister-in-law Lisa Radefeld, His wife, Cindy Radefeld; and Beloved Cat, Fancy Nancy. As well as many nieces and nephews; family and friends who Love him deeply. John was preceded in death by his Brothers, Dave Radefeld and Bob Radefeld. If you knew him, he was Family to you. His Light shined brighter than most and the world is dimmer with his loss.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 10AM - 12PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematoriu­m, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
