Indiana tornado victims will get additional state resources

Indiana is offering additional resources for Randolph and Delaware county residents following tornadoes that struck the area March 15.

Gov. Eric Holcomb’s office announced staff from the Indiana Department of Health, Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Family and Social Services Administra­tion will be available to provide services.

Resources at the Winchester BMV Branch

The BMV will reproduce and replace IDs, permits, titles, registrati­ons and license plates.

Located at 309 W. South St., the branch is open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Resources at the Randolph Division of Family Resources

The division will replace Supplement­al Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit cards and provide assistance with health coverage applicatio­ns.

Located at 221 N. Main St., the office is open from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Resources at the Randolph County Building

Homeland Security will help residents with recovery resources and informatio­n.

The Randolph County Health Department will replace vital records — birth and death certificat­es — as well as offer referrals for health services.

The State Department of Health is offering tetanus vaccines on site.

Mental health profession­als will also be on site.

Located at 325 S. Oak St., the building will be open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Hoosiers can call 866-211-9966 for referrals to necessary services and report damages.

Call 998 to be connect to emergency mental health resources.
