Hamburg Area Arts Alliance features the original art of Kenneth L. Liskey
The Art & Craft Gallery of Hamburg will host a reception for its member artist, Kenneth L. Liskey on Sept. 24.
A painter of mainly historical sites, lighthouses, and wildlife scenes, Ken strives for realism in his art. He has won awards in local shows in both Schuylkill County and Berks County. When he started painting, he tried a variety of mediums but chose oil painting as his personal favorite.
A resident of Bernville, Ken has been affiliated with several artist groups in Schuylkill and Berks Counties. His advice for anyone interested in art is not to be afraid to try. Taking lessons, even just a few, can instigate new ideas and techniques and give you the tools to move forward to find your own style and method.
As a member of the Hamburg Area Arts Alliance, Ken’s art is available for purchase in the Art & Craft Gallery of Hamburg. One of Ken’s objectives is to always keep his artwork affordable since he believes everyone should be able to enjoy having original art in his or her home.
The Hamburg Area Arts Alliance is pleased to feature Ken’s work during the entire month of September, with a special reception being held on September 24 from noon to 3 p.m. in the Art & Craft Gallery of Hamburg at 335 State Street, in downtown Hamburg. The reception is hosted by Kenneth L. Liskey and The Hamburg Area Arts Alliance, a subdivision of Our Town Foundation, a nonprofit, community revitalization organization.
