-

Kutztown University senior Nykolai A. Blichar has been selected to serve as a student trustee on the Kutztown University Council of Trustees. Appointed by the Council of Trustees, and confirmed by Governor Tom Wolf, Blichar will represent the nearly 8,500 students enrolled at the university.

Originally from Palmerton, Carbon County, Pa., Blichar is majoring in political science with minors in international studies, women and gender studies and public administration.

Blichar also serves on the National It’s On Us Student Advisory Committee, the university’s Diversity Council and as an undergraduate assistant in the Kutztown University GLBTQ center.

The Council of Trustees, the governing body of the university, is composed of an eleven-member board, one of whom is an undergraduate student. Students are nominated by the Council of Trustees, reviewed by the chancellor and then confirmed by the governor.
