Lt. Col. Scott Gehris, USMC, graduated from the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pa., with a master’s degree in Strategic Studies on 9 June 2017.
Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Daniel B. Allyn, addressed the graduates about Army readiness and future leadership challenges in a complex world.
Graduate studies included a completion of a Strategy Research Project, entitled, “Changes to the Marine Corps for success in the future operating environment.”
A former resident of Bowers, Pa. he will next serve at the Special Operations Command.
The U.S. Army War College’s 10-month curriculum educates and develops senior military officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, as well as senior foreign military officers and civilian officials from a variety of federal agencies, to serve in strategic level command and staff positions worldwide.
