Rochester runs to a sweep of Troy Athens

Cross country
The Rochester girls and boys cross country teams earned wins over Troy Athens on Wednesday in OAA action. The boys won 1942, while the girls won 2336.
Rochester’s Evan Weglarz won the boys race with a time of 18:10.0, while ChloeNixon of Rochester won the girls race in 20:47.9.
LAKE ORIONBOYS RUN PAST TROY
The Lake Orion boys cross country team earned a 25-36 win over Troy on Wednesday afternoon.
Troy’s Lucas Van Houten was themedalist of the race with a time of 17:25.5. Lake Orionwas led byHong Bing Tang, who finished third in 17:38.8. Will Houvener finished fourth for Lake Orion in 17:49.8.
Boys tennis
BLOOMFIELD HILLS 7, SEAHOLM1
The Bloomfield Hills tennis team earned a 7-1 win over Birmingham Seaholm on Tuesday afternoon.
Singles winners for the Black Hawks were No. 1 Noah Roslin (6-1, 6-0), No. 2 Daniel Stojanov (6-0, 6-2) and No. 3 Toni Vasile (6-2, 6-1).
Doubles winners for Bloomfield Hills were No. 1 Michael Lee and Max Nosanchuk (6- 0, 7- 6), No. 2 Merrick Chernett and Andrew Chen (6-1, 7-5), No. 3 Josh Balan and Gus Berger (6-4, 6-4), and No. 4 Noah Behrendt and Drew Davis (6-7, 6-4, 10-8).
Ryan Lewis got Seaholm its lone victory at No. 4 singles with scores of 6-7, 6-4, 1-0.
LAKELAND SWEEPS WATERFORD
The Lakeland tennis teamdefeatedWaterford in a clean 9-0 sweep on Tuesday afternoon.
Singles winners for the Eagles were No. 1 Daniel Stebbins, No. 2 NoahWeinberger, No. 3 BradyYounker and No. 4 Eli Parsons.
Doubles winners were
No. 1 Caiden Carlson and Will Dungan, No. 2 Hector Benitez and Alec Zerona, No. 3 Andrew Kidder and Nick Daniel, No. 4 Ajay Bikki and Shreyas Talluri, and No. 5 Joey Swartz and Logan Hayes.
Volleyball
CLAWSON BESTSNEW HAVEN
The Clawson volleyball team moved to 2-0 in the MAC Silver and 4-2 for the year with a 25-19, 26-24, 2521 win over New Haven on Tuesday.
Charlie Verner had 15 kills and 10 digs to lead the Trojanswhile Aliyah Vesper had 11 kills, nine digs and three aces. Ava LaMotte added 14 digs while Renata Carlesimo had 23 assists.
Girls golf
MILFORD 179, LAKELAND 200
The Lakeland girls golf team was topped by Milford on Tuesday afternoon in LVC play.
Bryn Dubin shot a 44 to lead the Eagles while Sana Singh had a 46, Gretchen Ullrich shot a 51 and Lexie Martin posted a 57.
