HealthyMacomb launches health survey
A lot has happened since the pandemic began, and Healthy Macomb wants to know how everyone is doing.
As part of a partnership between the Macomb County Health Department (MCHD) and more than 20 organizations and agencies in Macomb County, Healthy Macomb has launched a countywide survey to hear the needs and priorities of community members.
How is your family coping with the COVID-19 crisis?
as anyone in the household lost their job?
Are you able to pay your bills?
How would you prefer to receive health information from the local health department?
These are a few examples of the kind of questions that the Macomb County Community Health Survey will address in order to help MCHD and its community partners identify the most important health concerns in the county.
Everyone who lives, works, and plays in Macomb County is encouraged to complete the survey at bit.ly/ healthymacomb.
It only takes about 5- minutes to complete and is available in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the importance of hearing from community members about their health needs and while the survey will help county officials identify areas of concern while also giving residents an opportunity to tell county organizations how to make Macomb County a healthier place for their families and communities.
The Macomb County Community Health Survey
is part of the 2020 Community Health Assessment (CHA), a process that aims to understand the greater health and well-being of the county.
The first survey was conducted 2016. Healthy Macomb
organizations will continue to gather community member input in the coming months, with the goal of completing assessment by early 2021. Results of the survey will be used to help the county make communit y- i n formed health decisions for the next five years.
