There’s no debate: Week 4 is huge
The candidates for president and vice-president had debates.
They traded barbs and accusations, but no one addressed the questions closest to the Wise Guy’s heart.
Like, Who’s best equipped to win that wild MAC Red football race? Or, Who’s better, Eastpointe or Roseville?
Come on, people. Stay on task.
There’s no debate that this is the best weekend of the season so far.
There are important games galore, including first-place showdowns in the MAC White, Gold and Bronze divisions.
Let’s tackle the issues. Friday
UTICA ATWARREN-MOTT
Sole possession of first place in theMAC White is at stake between these 2-0 teams. The winner clinches at least a tie for the division championship. The Marauders defeated Utica inWhite Division games in 2019 and 2018. Wise Guy goes with Warren-Mott.
ROSEVILLE AT EASTPOINTE
Not only is Eastpointe undefeated, the Shamrocks haven’t allowed a point in three games. Wise Guy likes the talent on both teams, and this could be a classic battle for first place in the MAC Gold. Roseville is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings, but the pick is Eastpointe in a close game.
Saturday
LINCOLN AT CENTER LINE
One of Macomb County’s better rivalries is renewed in the annual Brown Jug game. The Abes and Panthers have split the last six meetings.
Lincoln wins this one.
DEWITT AT DE LA SALLE
The Pilots are a couple plays from being undefeated and atop the Catholic League Central Division. DeWitt is No. 2 in The Associated Press Division 3 poll. Ranking aside,
Wise Guy picks the Pilots.
