Marauders beat Center Line in MAC Silver

Bridget Bogden and Morgan Baranski scored eight points apiece Thursday to spark visiting Mott in a 30-20 MAC Silver basketball victory over Center Line.

Mott is 4-5 in the division.

LAKEVIEW 69, L’ANSE CREUSE 37

Tricia Sankiewicz made six 3-pointers and had 20 points in the first half to send Lakeview on the way to the victory that gave the Huskies the MAC Blue Division championsh­ip. Sankiewicz finished with 25 points, Kayla Austin had 13 points and 11 assists and Ari Wlodeck had 10 points and 11 rebounds as the Huskies improved to 9-1 in the division and 11-1 overall. Rylee Thomas and Jaycie LaValley scored 11 points each for L’Anse Creuse.

LAKE SHORE 25, FRASER 21

Victoria Rusher had eight points, eight rebounds and two steals as Lake Shore won its Blue Division finale. The Shorians are 1-9 and 2-9.

COUSINO 40, CHIPPEWA VALLEY 39

Senior Gabby DiPiazza hit two free throws with 2.2 seconds left to seal the Blue win for Cousino. Chippewa Valley’s Emily Dixon had 13 points and Lina Haas 11.

L’ANSE CREUSE NORTH 49, STEVENSON 32

Brooke Daniels had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the MAC White champions to the division victory. Kelsey Duffey had 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Crusaders finished 10-0 in the division. They are 13-0 in all games.

FORD 37, UTICA 32

Ford built a nine-point point lead in the fourth quarter and held off a Utica rally to secure the win. Ava Hacker had nine points with five rebounds for the Falcons. Carleigh Bilpo came off the bench and pulled down six rebounds. “She gave us some great minutes,” coach Matt Joseph said. Olivia Kubik had nine points with four assists

and three steals. Carlin Stepp had six points and Kailee Gillich and Maddy Bettys followed with five each. Utica’s LIna Rea had 24 points. Ford finished 6-4 in the White and is 8-5 overall. Utica is 3-7 and 3-8.

ANCHOR BAY 56, ROMEO 54

Taylor Wolfe scored 31 points and had seven rebounds and Genevieve Decker had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists as Anchor Bay finished 8-2 in the MAC White.

GROSSE POINTE NORTH 59, DAKOTA 36

Annabel Ayrault had 17 points, Maddie Kohler 12 and Natalie Babcock 11 to lead Grosse Pointe North to the victory and the MAC Red championsh­ip. Ella Burger had 16 points for Dakota. Grosse Pointe North

finished 9-1 in the division, one game ahead of Grosse Pointe South.

ROSEVILLE 37, WARREN WOODS-TOWER 33

Olivia Vanderham scored 14 points and had five steals and Gracie Magee scored 10 points for Roseville (4-3) in the MAC crossover. Za’Ryia Wright contribute­d six points and eight rebounds.

Boys basketball

DAKOTA 72, EISENHOWER 63

Joshuah Hines had 28 points, seven rebounds and five assists as Dakota improved to 9-1 in the MAC Red. Tymias Williams had a double-double with 22 points, 13 rebounds plus four blocks and four steals.

LUTHERAN NORTH 63, CRANBROOK 37

Ben Narr scored 17 points and Matt Stadnika and Adam Terpstra scored 14 and 12 points, respective­ly, as Lutheran North improved to 4-7. Stadnika also had eight rebounds.

CLINTONDAL­E 61, HAZEL PARK 37

Antonio Johnson scored 14 points and Chris Armstrong 13 to pace Clintondal­e. Ky’linn Price scored 11 points for Hazel Park. Clintondal­e is 3-4 in the MAC Silver/Bronze and 3-5 in all games.

LAKE SHORE 85, L’ANSE CREUSE 49

Guard Jalen Jackson scored 23 points to lead Lake Shore (11-0 in the MAC Blue Gold, 12-1 overall). Donovan Weatherly scored 14 points for L’Anse Creuse. The Lancers are 4-4

and 5-5.

U-D JESUIT 66, DE LA SALLE COLLEGIATE 64 (2OT)

Charles Turner had 22 points and Chris Mutebi 11 for U-D Jesuit (6-0). Linden Holder scored 30 points and Mike Sulaka had a doubledoub­le with 12 points and 12 rebounds for De La Salle (7-2).

AUSTIN CATHOLIC 45, BURTON FAITHWAY CHRISTIAN 39

Junior guard William Weingartz had 13 points, six rebounds, four steals and four assists to lead Austin to its second consecutiv­e victory. The Crusaders had a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter to sew up the victory. Senior Trecetan Cadelina also score 13 points and junior Brett Coppens played well on defense and had four steals and four assists, coach Joe Plawecki said. Guard Jeremy Boillat led Faithway Christian with 20 points. Austin Catholic (2-7) plays at Landmark Monday.

MARYSVILLE 71, CLAWSON 33

D’Marco Singleton scored a school-record 43 points as Marysville improved to 8-1 in the MAC Silver/Bronze Division.

PORT HURON NORTHERN 58, FITZGERALD 40

It was raining doubledoub­les at Port Huron Northern. Tyler Jamison had 17 points and 10 rebounds; Cass Cobrowolsk­i 16 and 15 and Ryan McNeill 12 and 10 to lead the Huskies (7-3 Blue Gold, 8-3 overall). Trey West, Gavin Brighton and Isaiah Sewell scored 12 points apiece for Fitzgerald.
