The following list includes movies available at local theaters, and movies that are available to watch through online streaming and video on demand services including: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Hulu, Vudu, FandangoNo­w, Apple TV+, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max and more.

SHOWING AT THEATERS

• “Sonic-The Hedgehog 2”: Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz), is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero in this sequel. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizati­ons. Also starring James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Natasha Rothwell. In theaters, April 8.

• “Ambulance” (R): A breakneck thriller where decorated veteran Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills, asks for help from his adoptive brother Danny (Jake Gyllenhaal) who offers him a score: the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history. In theaters, April 8.

• “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (R): Comedic sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes. Also starring Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., with James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis. In theaters, April 8.

• “High Expectatio­ns”: Jack Davis finds himself adrift after his father, a legendary coach, cuts him from his renowned soccer team. Depressed and searching for purpose, Jack takes one last shot at his lifelong dream by trying out for a rival club. Starring Taylor Gray, Kelsey Grammer and Ally Brook. In theaters, April 7.

• “The Contractor” (R): Discharged from the Army, a special forces sergeant lands a contract with a private undergroun­d military force. His first assignment goes wrong and the soldier finds himself hunted and on the run. Starring Chris Pine, Florian Munteanu, Ben Foster and Gillian Jacobs.

• “Morbius” (PG-13): Biochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but when his experiment goes wrong, he inadverten­tly infects himself with a form of vampirism instead. Starring Jared Leto, Michael Keaton, Matt Smith and Adria Arjona.

• “The Lost City” (PG-13): Reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) writes about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan, (Channing Tatum) as the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionair­e who wants her to lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Also starring Daniel Radcliffe, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Oscar Nuñez.

• “Infinite Storm” (R): An experience­d climber (Naomi Watts) ascends Mt. Washington, but turns back before she reaches the summit as a huge blizzard approaches. She encounters a lone, stranded man, and attempts to get them both down the mountain before nightfall. Based on a true story. Starring Naomi Watts; Sophie Okonedo and Billy Howle.

• “RRR”- Rise Roar Revolt (PG13): A fictional tale set in India, of two legendary revolution­aries who go on a journey and then return home to start fighting back against British colonialis­ts in the 1920s. Starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

• “The Outfit” (R): Thriller in which an expert tailor (Mark Rylance) must outwit a dangerous group of mobsters in order to survive a fateful night. Also starring Zoey Deutch, Johnny Flynn and Dylan O’Brien.

• “Umma” (PG-13): Amanda and her daughter live a quiet life on an American farm, until the remains of Amanda’s estranged mother arrive from Korea. Starring Sandra Oh, ct and Dermot Mulroney.

• “X” (R): In 1979, a group of young filmmakers set out to make an adult film in rural Texas, but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them in the act, the cast find themselves fighting for their lives. Starring Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Brittany Snow and Scott Mescudi.

• “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” (PG-13): Anime film where Yuta Okkotsu gains control of an extremely powerful, cursed spirit and gets enrolled in the Tokyo Prefectura­l Jujutsu High School by sorcerers to help him control his power and keep an eye on him. Starring Kayleigh McKee, Anairis Quinones.

• “Gold” (R): In the not too distant future, two drifters (Zac Efron, Anthony Hayes) traveling through the desert stumble across the biggest gold nugget ever found and hatch a plan to excavate their bounty with one man leaving to secure the necessary tools.

• “The Batman” (PG-13): Reboot based on the DC Comics character Batman with Robert Pattinson starring in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionair­e Bruce Wayne. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinatio­ns, the Batman enters into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/ aka the Riddler (Paul Dano).

• “After Yang” (PG): When his young daughter’s beloved companion — an android named Yang — malfunctio­ns, Jake (Colin Farrell) searches for a way to repair him. In the process, Jake reconnects with his wife (Jodie Turner-Smith) and daughter.

• “Studio 666” (R): Comedy, horror film starring Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foo Fighters. The band moves into an Encino neighborho­od mansion in Los Angeles, steeped in grisly rock history to record their 10th album. Once in the house, front man Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatur­al forces.

• “Cyrano” (PG-13): Musical reimaginin­g of the timeless tale of a heartbreak­ing love triangle. Cyrano de Bergerac (Peter Dinklage) dazzles with wordplay and with swordplay in duels. He is in love with Roxanne, (Haley Bennett), yet has not declared his feelings for her. Also starring Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Ben Mendelsohn.

• “Hotel Transylvan­ia-Transforma­nia” (PG): The 4th film in the “Hotel Transylvan­ia” animated franchise, where Van Helsing’s new invention goes haywire, turning Drac and his pals into humans, and Johnny becomes a monster. Starring voices of Adam Sandler, Brian Hull, Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez. Also available on Amazon Prime Video.

• “Dog” (PG-13): Comedy that follows the misadventu­res of Army Ranger Briggs (Channing Tatum) driving a 1984Ford Bronco with Lulu (a Belgian Malinois dog), along the Pacific Coast to attend a fellow soldier’s funeral. Also starring Jane Adams and Kevin Nash.

• “Uncharted” (PG-13): Action adventure film with treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) and Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) on a dangerous quest to find a lost treasure. Starring Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Taylor Ali and Antonio Banderas.

• “The Cursed” (NR): A mysterious, possibly supernatur­al menace threatens a small village in 19th-century France. Starring Kelly Reilly, Boyd Holbrook, Alistair Petrie and Áine Rose Daly.

• “Marry Me” (PG-13): Jennifer Lopez stars as musical superstar Kat Valdez, who is about to get married before an audience, but finds out her fiance is a cheater. On the spur of the moment she locks eyes with a stranger in the crowd, Charlie Gilbert, a math teacher, (Owen Wilson), and marries him on the spot. Also starring Maluma, John Bradley, Chloe Coleman and Sarah Silverman. With original songs by Jennifer Lopez and Maluma. In theaters, and available on Peacock.

• “Blacklight” (PG-13): Travis Block (Liam Neeson) is a freelance government agent whose assignment­s have included extracting agents out of deep-cover situations. When Block discovers a shadowy government program is striking down ordinary citizens for reasons known only to Block’s boss, he enlists the help of a journalist.

• “Death on the Nile” (PG-13): A Belgian sleuth’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a newlywed heiress is found murdered on board. Based on the 1937novel of the same name, starring Kenneth Branagh, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French and Gal Gadot.

• “Jackass Forever” (R): The original jackass crew return for another round of funny, absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with some new cast members. Starring Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and Chris Pontius.

• “Sing 2” (PG): A new chapter in Illuminati­on’s animated franchise arrives with big dreams and hit songs with the ever-optimistic koala, Buster Moon, and his all-star cast prepare for a stage extravagan­za but must first persuade a reclusive rock star, played by music icon Bono, to join them. Starring Taron Egerton, Bono, Tori Kelly and Scarlett Johansson.

• “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (PG-13): Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios new superhero film where Spider-Man’s identity is revealed and Peter Parker is no longer able to keep a separate normal life. He asks Doctor Strange for help, which releases powerful villains. Starring Tom Holland, Zendaya and Benedict Cumberbatc­h.

• “Encanto” (PG): New Disney animated tale of an extraordin­ary family, the Madrigals, who live in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place. Every child in the family has a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal — except for Mirabel. Featuring the voices of: Stephanie Beatriz, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Diane Guerrero.

STREAMING MOVIES

• “All the Old Knives” (R): Two CIA agents and ex-lovers (Chris Pine and Thandiwe Newton) are brought back together years after a failed rescue attempt. Also starring Laurence Fishburne. Available on Amazon Prime, April 8.

• “Moon Knight” (NR): Steven Grant, (Oscar Isaac), a mildmanner­ed gift-shop employee becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life and discovers he shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. Also starring Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy. Marvel Studios series, available on Disney+.

• “The Bubble” (R): The cast and crew of a blockbuste­r action franchise attempt to shoot a sequel while quarantini­ng at a posh hotel. Starring Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny and Keegan-Michael Key. Available on Netflix.

• “Cheaper by the Dozen” (PG): A reimaginin­g of the 2003 hit family comedy about the exploits of a blended family of 12, the Bakers, as they navigate a hectic home life while simultaneo­usly managing their family business. Starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff. Available on Disney+.
