Balanced scoring leads Anchor Bay to victory Stevenson

Payton Lee led Anchor Bay to a MAC crossover basketball victory.

Lee scored 16 points, Julia Tkaczyk 14 and Gabby Thiede 13 to lead the Tars to a 59-15 victory over Stevenson Thursday night.

Anchor Bay is 11-5 overall. They have one game remaining in the MAC White Division.

The MAC tournament starts Feb. 9. There will be Red/White, Blue/Gold and Silver/Bronze tournament­s.

ROMEO 42, COUSINO 33

Jacqui LeBlanc and Aya Mosley scored nine points apiece for Romeo. Cousino’s Chloe Sakalas had 11 points and nine rebounds and Savannah Karczewski had seven points. Romeo led 17-14 at halftime and 26-24 after three quarters.

EISENHOWER 60, L’ANSE CREUSE 31

Ava Stack scored 19 points and Jen McWethy set a school record for steals in a season as she went over 100 to lead Eisenhower to the MAC crossover victory. Devyn Raymond had 11 points and Paige Hays 10 for the Eagles (12-4).

SOUTH LAKE 46, LAKEVIEW 37

Christina Gibson scored 23 points and Da’Nia McClain had 12 points to lead South Lake to the MAC crossover victory. Samantha Guciardo scored eight points for Lakeview. Gibson also made five steals and McClain had nine rebounds and three blocked shots.

Boys basketball

INTER-CITY BAPTIST 68, PARKWAY CHRISTIAN 50

Luke Wolgast and Tyler Powers scored 16 points apiece for Parkway Christian. Noah Turcas had eight points.

ARMADA 58, ALMONT 51

Justin Schapman scored 20 points and Preston Hill 10 for Armada in the BWAC game. Marko Radisavlje­vic scored 21 points and Clay Roszczewsk­i, who made three triples, added 15. Armada led 19-11 after one quarter and 33-22 at halftime.
