Metro Electric hosts open house June 10
It's a sign of success whenever a company expands and that calls for a celebration — which Metro Electric in Romeo — plans to do during its Open House Event June 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event follows a major expansion in which 20,000 square feet was added to house the company's residential and Generac Standby Generator sales, service and installation operation. With a large fleet of residential service vans, specialized generator installation vehicles and a massive inventory of generators, Metro Electric's new facility is designed to meet the growing demand for whole house emergency standby generators.
The Romeo Chamber of Commerce will be honoring our new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon.
"Come join us as we celebrate the opening of our new facility," said Joe Brewer, owner and president of Metro Electric.
Those who attend the open house will also have an opportunity to meet the company's team of experts, enjoy interactive games and tasty eats. Brewer said they've also planned unique educational workshops including: Generator education and maintenance, surge suppression, electric panel safety and more.
Brewer was recently awarded for his support of the Romeo community and his partnership with Romeo High School, and a project that had students working on a new construction tech accessory building.
As one of this year's Career and Technical Education (CTE) partners, Brewer was recognized by The Macomb County Board of Commissioners for his work with the Macomb Career Technical Education Administrators' Association, as well as receiving senatorial and congressional awards from senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters.
