Windsor woman killed in drunken driving crash
A crash involving two allegedly intoxicated drivers in Sterling Heights resulted in the death of a Canadian woman and serious injuries to at least three others, police said Monday.
The incident took place about 1:30 a.m. Saturday
on 15 Mile Road near Stanley Drive, according to Sterling Heights police.

The initial investigation shows a Detroit man driving a Ford Explorer SUV was headed east on 15 Mile when he “possibly” crossed the center line of the road and collided head on with a Honda Pilot SUV that was occupied by six residents of Windsor, Ontario.
“The female passenger in the Explorer was transported to the hospital with serious injuries,” police said in a news release . “An adult female passenger in the Pilot was pronounced deceased at the hospital and another juvenile passenger suffered life-threatening injuries.”
According to police, the drivers of the two vehicles remained at the crash scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol is a suspected factor for both drivers, said Lt. Mario Bastianelli.
The driver of the Explorer was arrested and transported to the Macomb County Jail, Bastianelli said. The Pilot driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Authorities said the crash investigation continuing. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Sgt. John Carion of the Traffic Safety Bureau at 586-446-2920 with information.
