Ruth Naomi (Kan-Hai) Blanco, 60, from Waiehu, Maui, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020, at Kaiser Moanalua, surrounded by her family.

Naomi was a very strong, loving woman who will be dearly missed. She was born September 14, 1959, in Haiku, Maui. She attended Maui High School. Naomi was known for her love of singing. The Kan-Hai sisters performed at many parties throughout the years, from the time they where teenagers. They even recorded an album together. She also made lots of good memories on the softball field with many close friends and her sisters.

Naomi made life long friends everywhere she worked. Most recently working as a home health care nurse for Bayada. She also cooked for the homeless on Sundays. Her favorite role was cooking, and caring for her family, especially the keiki. She is survived by her husband Anthony Blanco, son Kanoa Santos (Lokelani), step-children Alee-a Blanco and Kiana Blanco, hanai daughter Janice Park (Carlton), and grandchild­ren Wai‘ohu, Moani, Jedidiah, and C.J. She is also survived by her sister Robertamae Kealoha (Earl), brothers Boniface Kan-Hai Jr. (Doreen), and Isaac Kan-Hai (Kris) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predecease­d by her parents Boniface Sr. and Elizabeth (Naopu’u) Kan-Hai, son Anthony Santos Jr., late husband Anthony Santos Sr., and sisters Eleanor Dacunay (Paul), Jennifer Kan-Hai (Lulia Alo), and Elizabeth Kan-Hai. Naomi will be cremated and kept at home until it is deemed safe for all her family and friends to come together to lovingly celebrate her life.
