Latest developmen­ts:

■ State Department of Health reported 106 new cases as of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, including 73 on Oahu, 15 on Maui, 11 on Hawaii island and three on Kauai. Four residents have been diagnosed out of state.

■ There now have been 18,290 cases statewide, including 15,613 on Oahu, 1,623 in Hawaii County, 703 in Maui County (579 on Maui, 106 on Lanai and 18 on Molokai) and 119 in Kauai County. A total of 232 cases have been diagnosed out of state. One case on Maui and another on Hawaii island were dropped from the counts.

■ DOH reported 10 deaths on Friday, including seven that occurred more than two weeks ago at a Hawaii island long-term care facility that experience­d an outbreak in October. The deaths have now been classified as COVID-related as a result of updated informatio­n. They include three women and four men between the ages of 60 to 80, all with underlying conditions. Three other deaths that also occurred more than two weeks ago were Oahu residents, all men between the ages of 30 to 80 who had underlying conditions. Two had been hospitaliz­ed.

■ There have now been 256 reported deaths, including 195 on Oahu, 41 on Hawaii island, 17 on Maui, one on Kauai and two out of state.

■ Three clusters combining for 22 cases have been connected to Maui County bars and nightclubs in the last 14 days, according to the state’s weekly cluster report released Thursday. Other clusters were connected to restaurant­s (one cluster, six cases), a social gathering (one cluster, 14 cases) and a gym (one cluster, two cases). No locations were given. ■ Fever and cough are symptoms.

■ Most people have mild illness and are able to recover at home. If you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, contact your health care provider immediatel­y.

■ Keep track of symptoms.

■ If you have an emergency warning sign (including trouble breathing), get medical attention right away.

■ Some people who are not showing symptoms could have the illness.

Methods for preventing illness include:

■ Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after nose-blowing, coughing or sneezing.

■ If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.

■ Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

■ Avoid contact with people who are sick; stay home if sick.

■ Wear a face mask in public settings. The mask is intended to protect others.

■ Social distancing: Stay 6 feet apart from others.

■ Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertop­s, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets and sinks.
