Latest developmen­ts:

■ State Department of Health reported 130 new cases as of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, including 105 on Oahu, 11 on Maui, seven on Hawaii island and one on Kauai. Six residents were diagnosed out of state.

■ There now have been 19,859 cases statewide, including 16,760 on Oahu, 1,769 in Hawaii County, 874 in Maui County (746 on Maui, 106 on Lanai and 22 on Molokai) and 136 in Kauai County. A total of 320 cases have been diagnosed out of state. Due to updated informatio­n, one case from Hawaii island and one case from Oahu were removed from the counts.

■ One death was reported on Oahu Friday, a woman in her 60s who had underlying conditions and was hospitaliz­ed at the time of her death.

■ There have now been 281 deaths officially reported statewide, including 217 on Oahu, 44 on Hawaii island, 17 on Maui, one on Kauai and two out of state.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on identifyin­g COVID-19:

■ Fever and cough are symptoms.

■ Most people have mild illness and are able to recover at home. If you think you may have been exposed to COVID19, contact your health care provider immediatel­y.

■ Keep track of symptoms.

■ If you have an emergency warning sign (including trouble breathing), get medical attention right away.

■ Some people who are not showing symptoms could have the illness.

Methods for preventing illness include:

■ Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after nose-blowing, coughing or sneezing.

■ If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.

■ Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

■ Avoid contact with people who are sick; stay home if sick.

■ Wear a face mask in public settings. The mask is intended to protect others.

■ Social distancing: Stay 6 feet apart from others.

■ Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertop­s, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets and sinks.
