Utility work, landscaping to close lanes in Central, West and East Maui
Road and landscaping work will cause lane closures in Central, West and East Maui this weekend and next week, the state Department of Transportation announced.
In Wailuku, utility work will cause a right lane closure on Main Street in the westbound direction between South Church Street and Central Avenue from 9 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Sunday.
There will also be a left lane closure on Kaahumanu Street in the westbound direction between Waiale Road and Kainani Street from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday and between Kainani Street and Maui Lani Parkway from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.
In Paia and Haiku, the left lane of Hana Highway in the eastbound direction between Mile Marker 7, Holo Place, and Mile Marker 16, Haumana
Road, will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday through 4 p.m. Friday for landscape maintenance.
In Lahaina, landscape maintenance will also cause a pair of closures, including a singlelane shutdown on Honoapiilani Highway in both directions between Mile Marker 31.5, Honolua Place, and Mile Marker 41.6, Kahekili Highway, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A single lane of Honoapiilani in the northbound direction between Mile Marker 19.8, Aholo Road, and Mile Marker 21, Lahainaluna Road, also will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Meanwhile, the right lane of Honoapiilani in the northbound direction between Front Street and Aholo Road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday for tree trimming.
