Latest developmen­ts:

■ State Department of Health on Friday reported 206 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 119 cases on Oahu, 42 on Hawaii island, 19 on Kauai, 18 on Maui and eight residents diagnosed out of state.

■ The DOH said Friday’s case count includes approximat­ely 40 backlogged cases around the state involving testing providers that recently began to provide data to DOH's electronic lab reporting system. DOH expects additional backlogged cases to be reported in the next few weeks.

■ There have now been 86,522 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 59,013 on Oahu, 11,534 in Hawaii County, 10,182 in Maui County (9,792 on Maui, 245 on Molokai and 145 on Lanai) and 2,955 on Kauai. A total of 2,838 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

■ Six new deaths were reported Friday; the statewide fatality count is now at 998.

■ Honolulu County is averaging 63 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 1.5 percent, followed by Hawaii County at 19 cases and 2.1 percent, Maui County at 14 cases and 1.4 percent and Kauai County at 13 cases and 2.9 percent.

■ Hawaii has reached a 72.3 percent vaccinatio­n rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 75 percent, Kauai and Hawaii counties at 68 percent and Maui County at 65 percent.
