Nominations sought for MHS Hall of Honor Awards

-

The Maui High School Foundation is seeking nominations for its 11th annual Maui High School Hall of Honor Awards, with the winners to be honored in September at the foundation’s awards banquet.

The deadline to submit nominations is Friday. The categories include: ≤ Silversword Heritage Award: an alumnus who is distinguished in life and work.

≤ Award of Excellence: an alumnus who has excelled in their field or profession.

≤ Spirit of Maui Award: an alumnus who gave back to the community, who made a difference within the community.

≤ Inspiration Award: a faculty member — not necessarily an alumnus — past or present who went above and beyond and made a difference to the students of the school.

≤ Saber Spirit: an individual — not necessarily an alumnus — who is an unsung hero to the school, such as a volunteer.

The nominees in each category will be presented to the Hall of Honor Selection Committee and a winner will be determined.

Nomination forms can be downloaded at maui highschoolfoundation.com, picked up at Maui High’s Main Office or requested via email from hallofhonor @mauihigh.org.

Forms must be submitted by Friday via the foundation’s website, mauihigh schoolfoundation.com; via email at hallofhonor@ mauihigh.org; mailed to MHSF Hall of Honor Committee at 660 S. Lono Ave., Kahului, 96732; or faxed to (808) 873-3010.
