Po­lice to hold car wash fundraiser

Po­lice will hold a car wash Saturday in the for­mer Kmart park­ing lot as part of a do­na­tion drive for the Maui Food Bank.

Do­na­tions of non­per­ish­able food or cash will be ac­cepted dur­ing the car wash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 424 Dairy Road in Kahului.

Do­na­tions also can be made at po­lice sta­tions on Maui, Molokai and Lanai. On­line mone­tary do­na­tions can be made at give.classy.org/Po­lice.

The event is part of the Bat­tle of the Badges food drive, with the Maui Po­lice Depart­ment and Maui Fire Depart­ment com­pet­ing to see who can raise the most do­na­tions for the Maui Food Bank this month.
