GBS/CIDP group announces meeting

The Maui Chapter of the Guillain-Barre syndrome and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy organization invites patients, their families, caregivers and interested professionals to its annual chapter meeting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Tante’s Island Cuisine at the Maui Seaside Hotel, 100 W. Kaahumanu Ave. in Kahului.

Ray Liu of Los Angeles will be the speaker. He is the hospital specialty representative, Immunology and Neurology Division — Grifols Bioscience. His experience spans 28 years in the biopharmaceutical industry, eight years as director of marketing and national sales; and he holds a certificate of knowledge on CIDP. He will speak about the background of Grifols, GamunexC, CIDP clinical trials and other topics.
