Fes­ti­val set at Beit Shalom

The Fes­ti­val of Shavuot, also known as the Fes­ti­val of Weeks, Fes­ti­val of First Fruits and The Fes­ti­val of the Giv­ing of the Law, will be­gin at 6:40 p.m. Satur­day at Beit Shalom in Ki­hei.

Fol­low­ing the Shab­bat Min­chah ser­vice at 6:40, the evening Ma’ariv ser­vice that also her­alds the start of the hol­i­day will be­gin at 7:45. A catered Mitz­vah meal and a study ses­sion, Tikun Leil Shavuot, will fol­low the ser­vice cov­er­ing an as­sort­ment of top­ics in the Tanach-Bi­ble.

There will be a 10 a.m. Shavuot ser­vice on Sun­day.

This will be a tra­di­tional fes­ti­val morn­ing ser­vice, which will in­clude the read­ing of the Ad­ka­mut and the Ten Com­mand­ments, if there is a minyan (quo­rum of 10).

At 10 a.m. Mon­day, there will be a Shavuot Fes­ti­val Sec­ond Day Ser­vice; this will in­clude the chant­ing of the Book of Ruth as well as a Yizkor me­mo­rial ser­vice.
