Woman injured when glass broken

A Pukalani man was arrested after he allegedly threw an object through a van window, shattering glass that injured a woman inside during a domestic dispute, according to police.

Theodore Capertina, 45, was charged with first-degree criminal property damage and abuse. His bail was set at $7,500.

Capertina and the woman were arguing in the van parked on Aliiolani Street in Pukalani at 4:15 a.m. Saturday when he got out and she held the door closed to keep him from getting back in, police reported. He reportedly picked up an object and threw it through a window, shattering glass that hit the woman, according to police.

A bail bond was posted for Capertina’s release, court records show.
