Mayor set to hold online community budget meetings

“I value the opportunity for our community members to have a say on the taxes and fees that are implemented by the county and how their taxpayer dollars are spent,” Victorino said.
“These are unprecedented times as we navigate through the effects of the
COVID-19 pandemic. Suggestions from the public help us prioritize what is best for our community.”
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all meetings will be conducted online with representatives from various county departments present at each meeting.
Each community meeting will begin with an overview of the current budget, followed by attendees sharing concerns, offering input or asking questions of the various departments in attendance. At the end of the meeting, the mayor and budget director may provide a recap of the issues that were raised by the attendees.
Community members may submit written comments using a Community Budget Request Form at https://www.mauicounty.go v/139/Budget-Office.
