Latest developmen­ts:

■ State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 230 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 144 cases on Oahu, 37 on Hawaii island, 18 on Maui, 13 on Kauai, two on Molokai and 16 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.

■ There have now been 78,874 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 54,878 on Oahu, 9,950 in Hawaii County, 9,393 in Maui County (9,030 on Maui, 224 on Molokai and 139 on Lanai) and 2,236 on Kauai. A total of 2,417 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

■ DOH reported 13 deaths Wednesday. Two were Maui men who had been hospitaliz­ed, including one in his 50s who had underlying conditions and the other in his 70s who had no underlying conditions. Nine were on Oahu – a man in his 30s, a man in his 50s, a woman in her 50s, two women in their 60s, one man above 80 and a woman above 80, all of whom had underlying conditions and were hospitaliz­ed. Another woman above 80 who had underlying conditions died at home. Another man above 80 was hospitaliz­ed; it is unknown whether he had underlying conditions. Two deaths were on Hawaii island and involved a man in his

60s and a woman above 80; both had underlying conditions and were hospitaliz­ed.

■ The statewide fatality count is now 770, including 582 on Oahu, 88 on Hawaii island, 86 on Maui, eight on Kauai, one on Molokai and five Hawaii residents who died out of state.

■ Honolulu County is averaging 217 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 4.5 percent, followed by Hawaii County at 51 cases and 5.5 percent, Maui County at 28 cases and 3.0 percent and Kauai County at 23 cases and

4.0 percent.
