Nelson will lead all golf operations for the Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane-designed course.

Throughout his career he has worked at golf facilities throughout Idaho, including Twin Lakes Village Golf Club, the Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course and The Club at Black Rock.
“Mark is a proven golf professional with industry experience encompassing many facets of the golf business including resort, private and public golf facilities,” Tim Dietrich, assistant general manager of Kapalua Golf & Tennis, said in a news release. “Mark’s engaging personality and expertise in the game of golf, make him an ideal representative of Kapalua Golf. We are thrilled to have him leading our Bay Course operations.”
A Class-A Member of the PGA of America since 2010, Nelson was named “Golf Professional of the Year” in 2020 and the “Resort Merchandiser of the Year” in 2017 by the Pacific Northwest PGA Section’s Inland Empire Chapter. He is also a past president of the PGA’s Inland Empire Chapter.
“I am so happy to be in the Aloha State with my family and I look forward to making a difference at The Bay Course,” Nelson said in the release. “It is an honor to be part of the amazing Kapalua facility and
