■ The Maui Friends of the Library reopens three used bookstores and accepting donations. Puunene, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday; Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday; Outlets of Lahaina, noon to 6 p.m. daily.

■ Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center gallery, gift shop and main house are open Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Classes continue as scheduled.

• Friday town parties. All countyspon­sored Friday town parties, including Wailuku First Fridays, Lahaina Second Fridays, Makawao Third Fridays, Kihei Fourth Fridays and Lanai Fifth Fridays, have been canceled.

■ Kahului Swap Meet, Saturdays at Maui Marketplac­e, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• AARP Foundation TaxAide Sites — Kaunoa Senior Center, West Maui Senior Center, Kahului Union Church and Kihei Community Center — closed.

■ MauiSwap Meet, Saturdays at University of Hawaii Maui College, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Maui Academy of Performing Arts suspends educationa­l programmin­g. Dance and drama classes paused until further notice.

• Kaunoa Senior Center programs, classes and activities — including nutrition and leisure-wellness programs — suspended until further notice.

■ Deer hunting in the Lanai Game Management Area canceled for 2021. A combined season for mouflon sheep and axis deer planned; details regarding this modified season will be announced.

• State hunter education classes are suspended.

• Maui County Business Resource Center classes canceled.

■ Maui Sunday Market reopens 4 to 8 p.m. Sundays at the Kahului Shopping Center.

■ Go Green monthly bulky item recycling event returns Aug. 15 by appointmen­t in a new location: the parking lot behind the Lahaina District Court. Go to malammauin­ui .org/gogreen for an appointmen­t.

■ Maui Economic Opportunit­y’s “Do What is Right” Gala has been reschedule­d to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28, 2021, at the King Kamehameha Golf Club.

■ The 2020 Chrysanthe­mum Festival, put on by the Sons and Daughters of Nisei Veterans, has been canceled. Plans are underway to hold the 2021 festival.
