MIL softball: Sabers top Warriors for 1st win of season

The Maui High School softball team picked up its first win of the season with a 15-7 win over Kamehameha Maui on Monday at Patsy Mink Field in Kahului.

Shaely Manalili hit a three-run homer in the Sabers’ six-run second inning and later added a two-run single to lead the Sabers, who improved to 1-3 in Maui Interschol­astic League play. Gianna Bulusan batted 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Naiya Gusman also drove in two runs.
