The Mendocino Coast Photography Gallery
The Mendocino Coast Photography Gallery is a cooperative partnership of five Mendocino Coast photographers with many years of professional experience in wildlife, landscape and fine art photography. The photographers are: Ron LeValley, Ken Van Der Wende, Nicholas Wilson, John Birchard and Jonathan Pazer. The gallery, founded in December 2006 as the Mendocino Coast Photographer Guild and Gallery (MCPGG), has been in continuous operation since then. It started in the Company Store building on Main Street, then moved in 2010 to their second Main Street location, and moved again to their current location in April 2013. The Mendocino Coast Photography Gallery is located at 357 N. Franklin St., Fort Bragg. Hours are Fridays through Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please bring your mask. Northcoast Artists Gallery is pleased to present their April show, “The Vast Heart” This is a solo show featuring gallery member Patti Harney. Patti is a California native, born in 1958. She and her husband recently moved from the Bay Area to the Mendocino Coast. Patti Harney will be showing her newest piece, “The Vast
Heart,” and other works to be featured for the month of April. She will be in the gallery April 2, 10, 18, 25 and May 2 and is looking forward to seeing you!
“What inspires me to paint is a deep reverence for the innate beauty that surrounds us. I look beyond the obvious and find the beauty within the ordinary and mundane. I’ve discovered that I need to be very still to observe this, and it is always with much humility and awe that I strive to paint that alive essence into being. My process involves engaging with the subject and using close observation to look past the obvious. My goal in all of my work is to strike the chord of inherent beauty that lies within the viewer.” — Patti Harney
