Tuesdays in the Tent Mendocino Coast Clinics Tuesdays in the Tent is ongoing weekly. Drivethrou­gh vaccinatio­ns are available from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays at 205 South St., Fort Bragg. Just drive up to the white tent on the north side of the clinic to get your free vaccine. If you’re overdue for your second dose, come on down and they’ll be happy to give it to you.

vaccine? The Adventist Health team has Moderna and the J&J vaccines all available through the Primary Care team located at 721 River Dr., Suite A in Fort Bragg. To make an appointmen­t, call the Adventist Health offices at 707-961-4631 and press option 3 to set a time and date available to receive yours.

Free firewood If you need firewood and would be hard-pressed to buy it, you can get it right here on the coast. You will need a truck and a way to split it, though not at the pickup site. The firewood is a mix of mostly soft and some hardwood and it is cut in rounds. If you would like to pick up this firewood, please email firewood@ mcn.org, and together they will arrange for your pick up.

Free Supportive Telephone Counseling Redwood Coast Senior Center offers Senior Peer counselors who provide weekly telephone counseling to other seniors. This free program utilizes the skills and life experience of seniors to provide emotional support and encouragem­ent to their peers.

Seniors can connect with someone their age who has experience­d similar life changes. These changes can be stressful and bring feelings of depression, anxiety, grief, and loss. Talking to a Senior

Senior Meals All Seniors 60 and over are welcome to enjoy a hot delicious, nutritious meal for pick up on Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Redwood Coast Senior Center,490 N. HOUSING ACTION TEAM (HAT) HELP IS AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE STRUGGLING TO PAY THEIR RENT

THE HOUSING ACTION TEAM » North Mendocino Coast (HAT) has created a list in English and Spanish of government and community programs that can supplement lost pay, help with utility bills, provide protection from eviction and free up income to spend on housing by saving on food and nutrition. HAT is distributi­ng small cards and using social media to let the public know they can view or download the list of programs and resources by going to HAT’S website www.HATMendoCo­ast.org.

Mendo Community Library Expands Hours Good news for local readers! The all-volunteer Mendocino Community Library is about to expand its current hours. Beginning Saturday, October 2, the library will be open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for in-person visits, browsing, and check out. Mask up and stop by to peruse the latest books, audiobooks, and DVDs. The library is located on the corner of Little Lake Rd. and William St., across from the Art Center (707937-5773; mendocinoc­ommunityli­brary.org).
