The following venues are participating in this month’s Second Saturday:

Artists’ Collective in Elk

The Artists Collective in Elk will feature thru June the works of Anne Kessler and Craig Hathaway. Come see their work and the work and all other 30 artists’ work at the Elk Gallery. People find her pastels to be calming, uplifting, and colorful. Anne’s recent paintings are once again of forest pathways and rivers documenting the places she goes for meditation— so needed for inner balance in these difficult times. Craig has been building custom-made redwood burl driftwood furniture since 1984 and has had great success with this work over the years, sending his tables all over the world. He tries to let the natural form made by mother nature capture the elegance of each piece, leaving the live/natural edge of each piece to speak for itself.

Our reception will be on 2nd Saturday, June 11th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The Artists’ Collective in Elk is located at 6031 S. Highway 1 in Greater Downtown Elk. Open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, call 707-877-1128 or visit www. artists-collective.net.

Artists’ Co-op of Mendocino

This month the Artists’ Co-op of Mendocino focuses on the printmaking of Featured Artist Debra Lennox, with exhibition dates from June 8th to July 4th.

Stepping away from the newsroom chatter that encourages polarization and discord, Debra Lennox seeks the universals that can connect us, rather than divide us, and finds an example in our relationship with the moon. Looking closely at nature, her series about the moon and its presence leads to conversations about our own connection to the magic we feel in the moonlight.

Come and enjoy the new works of this skillful printmaker. The Artists’ Co-op is located at Kasten x Albion Streets in Mendocino, open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended hours 4-7 p.m. on Second Saturday, June 11th. Masks are required. The phone is 1(707) 9372217.

Partners Gallery

In June Miriam Davis is exhibiting semi-abstract paintings and metaphorical porcelain figures at Partners Gallery in Mendocino.

“My paintings evolve from natural forms and float in space that may suggest water or landscape. I improvise, making marks on the paper or canvas with graphite, paint, transfer, and stencil. The sculptures are a return to a previous love of clay and the joy of modeling porcelain. The small figures relate to each other in ways arising from the imagination using the language of dreams. They are fired and then painted with oils.”
