SAN JOSE — Shoppers at a Target store in West San Jose got an X-rated earful on Wednesday morning when the store’s PA system began broadcasting what sounded like audio from a pornographic movie.

One shopper posted a video on Facebook of her experience at the Target in Westgate Center on Saratoga Avenue.

In the video, the woman is shopping with small children when suddenly the sounds and language of an X-rated movie began playing on the PA system.

Several members of the “Campbell Mom Squad” Facebook page reported hearing the audio while shopping. One poster said the audio lasted about 15 minutes.

“It was basically lots of sexual noises,” one poster wrote on the “Campbell Mom Squad” Facebook page.

Another poster wrote: “A disgusting porno audio was played and I left my cart and the store.”

When asked about the incident, Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder issued the following statement: “We are actively reviewing the situation with the team to better understand what happened and to help ensure this doesn’t happen again. Because this is an active investigation, I’m unable to share additional details, but we want our guests to know that we take this very seriously.”

A similar incident occurred earlier this year at a Target in San Luis Obispo, according to San Luis Obispo Tribune. On July 10, San Luis Obispo police responded about 11:30 a.m. to a Target store in the 11000 block of Los Osos Valley Road for a report of an audio track of pornography playing over the store’s PA system, according to the Tribune.
