Did Idris Elba just drop out of running for James Bond?

-

Idris Elba says he’s too old to play James Bond.

I bet the right size paycheck could make him young again.

The British actor has long been rumored to be a top candidate to replace Daniel Craig as England’s best big-screen superspy.

Craig has said he’s done with the role.

Elba told “Good Morning America” on Thursday the idea of playing Bond seems like a stretch.

“I keep saying if it were to happen, it would be the will of a nation, because there hasn’t been any talks between me and the studio about any of that. But everywhere I go people want that to happen,” Elba said.

The 43-year-old actor said, “If I’m really honest, man, I think I’m too old for that. Running around in cars, and ladies and martinis, who wants to do that?”

Oh yeah. How terrible. Doesn’t get much worse than that.

Besides, Elba, speculation over Craig’s successor includes Tom Hiddleston, Tom Hardy and Henry Cavill.

Michael Moore says Donald Trump will win in November

Michael Moore says Donald Trump will win the presidency in November.

I think it’s safe to say he’s not happy with that prospect.

Drawing groans from the crowd on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the Oscar winner and noted liberal said, “I’m sorry to have to be the buzzkill here so early on, but I think Trump is going to win, I’m sorry.”

Bill Maher added, “The enemy is complacency. Say it every day — he Idris Elba says he’s getting too old to play James Bond. Many of his fans will be unhappy to hear this. certainly could win.”

Moore, one of Michigan’s most famous residents, said Trump is following a “Brexit strategy” by trying hard to appeal to Middle America. “Brexit” refers to Britain’s recent vote to leave the European Union.

“Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania — Mitt Romney lost by 64 electoral votes — the total electoral votes of those four states in the rust belt — 64 — all he has to do is win those four states,” Moore said.

Moore said Bernie Sanders inspired people in ways Hillary Clinton can’t.

“Nobody is going to be excited to get up that morning and vote for Hillary Clinton, even if you like her. She does not inspire that in people,”
