UPDATE: Midfielder­s Anibal Godoy and Alberto Quintero, who were sent off with red cards in Saturday’s stunning 2-1 victory over Toronto FC, both had their red cards and fines rescinded by an independen­t review panel Thursday after an appeal from the team arguing neither foul was egregious or reckless. Both players will be available at Real Salt Lake.… San Jose (6-6-7) is still buzzing after that improbable win over Toronto FC with only nine men. According to Quakes president Dave Kaval, the crowd got so raucous after Simon Dawkins’ goal that put them ahead 2-1, it set the record for the top seismic moment on the Avaya Stadium seismograp­h. “I loved when a Quakes player would clear the ball and the animated crowd would cheer like clearing a puck at the Shark Tank,” Kaval wrote on the team website. “The determinat­ion and spirit of our players in not giving up demonstrat­ed the character of our team and was a great reflection of our community.”… Coach Dominic Kinnear said the win over Toronto could prove to be a turning point for the Quakes, who were winless in their previous seven games.… San Jose has yet to win a road game this season. … Chris Wondolowsk­i will look to continue his success against Real. The captain has scored seven career goals against RSL, including a hat trick in 2012. REAL SALT LAKE UPDATE: Real (8-6-6) finds itself on a fivegame winless streak, but it remains unbeaten at home. RSL played to a scoreless-draw against New England on Saturday.… While RSL midfielder Kyle Beckerman will be looking to stop the San Jose attack Friday, he will join forces with Quakes goalkeeper David Bingham and Wondolowsk­i next Thursday against Arsenal FC in the MLS All-Star game at Avaya Stadium.
