Officers save suspect from burning car

Police officers saved an armed-robbery suspect from a burning car after a chase ended in a crash.

The incident happened in south Fort Worth earlier this month when officers were advised to watch for a car with three men wanted for a reported armed robbery. Officers soon spotted a car matching the description.

Police Sgt. Marc Povero tells TV station WFAA the car crashed after a brief pursuit and the engine began to burn. Povero says one suspect fled, another was detained but a third was trapped in the car. Police video shows an officer prying open the door before pulling the unconscious suspect from the car.
