Skewed election results gave Trump an edge
Susan Hughes (Letters, Aug. 24) called the process that gave Donald Trump the GOP nomination democratic. I disagree. Trump got only 45 percent of the popular vote, yet he received 58 percent of the delegates to the Republican National Convention. If the 55 percent (an absolute majority) of the GOP voters who voted non-Trump had received 55 percent of the delegates, we’d have gotten a different result at the convention.
