FBI investigating Brad Pitt for child abuse claims on jet
The FBI is investigating allegations that Brad Pitt committed child abuse.
Pitt purportedly got physically and verbally abusive during an argument with Angelina Jolie last week, which reportedly involved one of their children and was witnessed by some of the other five.
Pitt was being investigated by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services after someone anonymously reported the actor from the tarmac of an airport in Minnesota. The incident allegedly took place on a private jet after a flight from France, according to TMZ.
Because the reported incident occurred while the plane was in the air, the FBI has jurisdiction.
The plane reportedly landed just before 8 p.m. Witnesses told TMZ that Pitt was “out of control” on the tarmac, and even tried to escape in a fuel truck.
A source told People. com Pitt had been drinking.
“He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” the source reportedly said. “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.” Jolie filed for divorce Monday, citing irreconcilable differences, and requested sole physical custody of the couple’s six kids.
